Houston Green Expo: Sustainable Energy and Green Building Consumer Event
WHAT MAKES THIS EXPO SPECIAL?

1.    Houston Green Expo is the only Expo in Texas exclusively featuring certified green products, materials, and services. Our exhibitors are leading companies committed to educating consumers about their products in an atmosphere free of greenwashing. Please visit the “Green Guidelines” page for more information.

2.    The first on-site green marketplace will target consumers interested in embracing a more sustainable life style that makes economic sense, strengthens our environment, and makes us less dependent on foreign energy sources. Learn about and purchase certified green products on the spot. Connect with local retailers, distributors, and installers.

3.    A full roster of educational presentations (see below) will offer information on local services and innovative new products as well as practical “How To” advice on reducing both your family’s environmental impact and your utility bill.  Houston Mayor Bill White will kick off the Expo with a plenary on Saturday morning at 10a.m., including nationally known speakers David Freeman, an Energy Independence Expert, and Joseph Romm, a Climate Change Expert.

4.    The Houston Green Expo: Sustainable Energy and Green Building Consumer Event will feature five themes, covering the spectrum of topics of interest to homeowners: green building, energy efficiency, renewable energy, alternative transportation, and Green Youth Zone.

5.    Visit the Green Youth Zone to celebrate the creativity and commitment of Houston area youth to making our world a better place.  Participate in their “iGreen” campaign by signing a pledge to do your part.

6.    Take advantage of this remarkable collection of certified green products, materials, and services!  Bring your whole family to this FREE event, co-hosted by the City of Houston and Gulf Coast Green, a green building symposium organized by the American Institute of Architects Houston Chapter’s Committee on the Environment.
