Do you have a studio project in-progress or completed in the last 18 months that has sustainable design features?
Gulf Coast Green Symposium seeks to exhibit the work of students and recent graduates in the region, showcasing the latest ideas in sustainable design. Each project entry must explore an issue in the Gulf Coast region and incorporate sustainable strategies in its solution. Projects will be digitally displayed at Gulf Coast Green 2011 to inform and inspire symposium attendees.
The focus of each project can be an architectural approach, an engineering system, an innovative interior solution or a product design. Project entries will be judged by a group of esteemed jurors and numerous awards will be given.
Submission: Electronic Entries Only
Entries must be received in .pdf format on a maximum of 10 pages. One of the 10 pages is to be a summary page, with two or three iconic images of your project and a brief descriptive title, no identifying text is permitted on presentation pages.
Sustainable strategies utilized should be highlighted on the competition boards and communicate how the solution realizes the largest impact based on the categories in the judging criteria. Contestants are encouraged to form interdisciplinary teams with members from other disciplines related to the building industry and strive to develop a holistic proposal.
Minimum information required:
