Thank you for having attended

Gulf Coast Green 2008!

and the

Houston Green EXPO: Sustainable Energy and Green Building Event!

more than 10,000 people came to Reliant Park over 4 days to learn about innovative solutions for hot and humid climates.

The theme of the 2008 conference was “Innovations in Building for Hot and Humid Climates.” The specific focus of the conference was green or sustainable building along the Gulf Coast region, but the content included broader issues of sustainability such as sustainable land use and global warming.

Gulf Coast Green 2008 was hosted by the Houston chapter of the American Institute of Architects Committee on the Environment (AIA COTE) in partnership with the Greater Houston Area Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the Houston Chapter of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the Houston District Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI).

If you have any questions, comments, or are simply interested in supporting or attending next year event (April 2009), please contact us at info@gulfcoastgreen.org and stay tuned for further updates on this website
